Sant'Angelo in Vado
Sant'Angelo in Vado ( in the local dialect: Sant'Angële ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region. Sant'Angelo in Vado is part of the Comunità Montana Alto e Medio Metaurus.
Location
The village is located approximately 18.5 km west-southwest of Urbino and about 48.5 km southwest of Pesaro on Metaurus. The municipality borders the enclave of Città di Castello ( Perugia Province ).
History
Sant'Angelo in Vado has built on the ruins of a Roman settlement. With the Domus del Mito archaeological site still important archaeological explorations in the municipality take place.
The congregation was from 1635 to Bishop 's seat ( aeque pricipaliter with Urbania ), since the union with the Diocese of Urbino 1986 Archdiocese of Urbino - Urbania -Sant'Angelo in Vado has the place but the effect lost its significance.

Traffic
The Strada Statale di Bocca Trabaria 73bis (also: E 78) from Fano to San Giustino leads in east-west direction through the community. In Sant'Angelo in Vado, the Strada Statale 687 Pedemontana delle Marche, which leads from here to Lunano crosses.
