Strhaře

Strhaře ( German Strharz, also Streharsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers north of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Strhaře located in the Sýkořská pahorkatina, a subunit of Nedvědička highlands in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The village is situated in the eastern part of the Natural Park Svratecká hornatina in the hollow of a small creek between the valleys of Besének and Kozárovský creek. To the northeast, the Láze ( 642 m) and Babylon rise (656 m), to the east the Kravi hlava ( 566 m ) southeast of the Příhon ( 562 m) and in the northwest of Sýkoř (702 m).

Neighboring towns are Žleby in the north, and Bedřichov Kozárov in the northeast, Dlouhá Lhota in the east, Brťov - Jeneč and Zhoř the southeast, Rašov, Chrastová and Lomnice in the south, and Synalov Kopaniny in the west and Osiky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the town was made in 1360. Žleby In was located since the Middle Ages, a smelter the reign Lomnitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Strhař and Žleb formed in 1850 districts of the municipality Kozárov in the Brno district administration and the district court Tischnowitz. 1880 Strhař became independent together with the hamlet Žleby. Since 1896, the village belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. Since 1923, the name of locality is Strhaře use. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov Strhaře came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Blansko. Since the beginning of 2007, the community is part of the Okres Brno- venkov.
