Tetčice

Tetčice ( German Tetschitz, formerly Tetschütz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located two kilometers south-east of Rosice and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Tetčice is located on the right bank of the Bobrava in the Bosko brázda. The village is situated at the western foot of the wooded ridge of Bobravská Highlands. Northeast leads past the D1 motorway, there is also the exit 182 Kývalka. Beyond the motorway is the Brno Circuit. In the north- east rise the Kukanec (436 m) and the Hvízdalka (442 m ) east of the BUCIN (444 m), in the southeastern Teplý Kopec ( 438 m) and south of the Herzán (452 m).

Neighboring towns are Rosice and Ostrovačice in the north, Na Kříbech, Kývalka and Hvízdalka in the northeast, Tetčický Mlýn, Dvorek and Omice in the east, Na bucine, U Nádrazí, Střelice, Radostice and Prštice the southeast, Špidleny, Hlína and Neslovice in the south, Kratochvilka and Zbysov the southwest, Babice in the west and Pod Trojicí and Pendrov in the northwest.

History

The first mention of belonging to the reign Rossitz place took place in 1349. Several sources report that a Gothic castle is supposed to be standing on the BUCIN in the Middle Ages. Your location is unknown, as no relics are preserved. At the end of the 16th century the BUCIN wine was grown at the foot. Since the 19th century, developing coal industry Rossitz - Oslawaner basin changed the lives in the previously purely agricultural village and settled miners to. After the replacement of patrimonial Tečice / Tetschütz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno team. On the initiative of Johann Ritter Herring and Zbeschauer mining entrepreneur Anton Rahn private Brno Rossitzer railway company was founded, which began in 1852 with the construction of the railway line Brno -Strelitz - Rossitz Blessing of God. The two-class school system was added in 1894. 1913 was the village of 101 houses. 1921 lived in 126 houses of the town 556 people, these were, with the exception of a Ukrainian's all Czech folk group. 524 of the inhabitants were Catholics. In 1923 it was renamed the village in Tetčice. Between 1949 and 1960 Tetčice was raised to Okres Rosice to the county town. Since 1961, the community is part of the Okres Brno- venkov. Between 1980 and 1991 the village was incorporated to Rosice. At the beginning of 1992, the municipality Tetčice arose again.
