Újezd u Brna

Újezd ​​u Brna, until 1951 Újezd ​​Sokolnic ( German Aujest ) is a city in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers southeast of the city center of Brno and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov. North of the city to the Pracký Kopec ( Pratzeberg ) is the battlefield of the Battle of Austerlitz.

Geography

History

The first mention of Ugezdec be found in a document of bishop Heinrich Zdik, which was made ​​at the turn of 1141/42 and includes a directory of goods of the diocese of Olomouc.
