Újezd u Tišnova

Újezd ​​Tišnova until 1960 Újezd ​​( German Aujest, formerly Augezd ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Újezd ​​Tišnova located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands right side of Bobruvka at the mouth of the creek Kozli creek. South-east rises the Mírová ( 467 m). South of the village runs the railway line Brno- Havlíčkův Brod, nearest railway stations are Řikonín and Dolni Loučky.

History

The village was established in the 13th century. On the hill to the northwest over the place existed since the mid-13th century a fortress that served as the seat of the Lords of Újezd ​​. Documentary evidence is Újezd ​​since 1334, when the couple Půta and Markéta Újezd ​​their right of patronage of the parish church of St. Giles the Augustinian monastery Doubravník gave. After the abolition of patrimonial Aujezd formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno and judicial district Tischnowitz. At the end of the 19th century the village was known as Oujezd and finally as Újezd ​​. 1892 a one-class village school was inaugurated. Since 1896, the village belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. Between 1939 and 1953 took place south above the village, the construction of double-track railway line from Brno to Havlíčkův Brod. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov the village came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou and has also been incorporated to Horni Loučky. To distinguish them from the same community Újezd ​​the place since then has the official name suffix u Tišnova. In the years 1975 to 1985 were carried out archaeological excavations on the Hradek. Since 1990 Újezd ​​Tišnova again forms a separate municipality. On 1 January 2005 Újezd ​​Tišnova was assigned to the Okres Brno- venkov. The former school now serves as the seat of the commune office and grocery store.

Attractions
