Zálesná Zhoř

Zalesna Zhoř ( German Salesna Shorsch, also Zhorz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of Velka Bites and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Zalesna Zhoř located in the highlands Bobravská on the right bank of the river Bila voda, which rises north of the village. The village is surrounded on all sides by woods. To the east rises the Prachová (530 m ), at the southern foot lies the source of the river Bobrava. North of Zalesna Zhoř leads the motorway D1 / E 55 / E 65 through the forest; the next exit 168 Devět Křížů lies a mile north at Lesní Hluboké, a direct connection to it does not exist. Northeast of the highway maintenance and police station Devět is Křížů.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1358th vicarage was Zbraslav and since the 16th century, school location.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Zhoř 1850 a district of the municipality Zbraslav in the Brno district. From 1878, Zhoř belonged to a district Stanoviště. In 1900 the place came to the district Velké Meziříčí and gained in 1907 under the name Zalesna Zhoř the autonomy. 1911 own village school was opened in Zalesna Zhoř. After its cancellation Zalesna Zhoř came in 1961 Okres Brno- venkov. 1980 Zalesna Zhoř was incorporated into Zbraslav. Since 1990, the community is again.

On Midsummer Day there will be a pilgrimage in Zalesna Zhoř.
