Longone Sabino
Longone Sabino is a municipality with 605 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.
Geography
Longone Sabino is located 83 km northeast of Rome and 26 km southeast of Rieti. It is located in the Sabine mountains between the reservoirs of the Turano and the Salto. The municipality covers an altitude 406-931 m asl
The municipality is located in the seismic zone 2 (medium endangered).
Longone is a member of the Comunità Montana del Turano.
The municipality consists of the villages Fassinoro, Rocca San Silvestro and Ranieri.
The neighboring municipalities are Ascrea, Belmonte in Sabina, Cittaducale, Concerviano, Petrella Salto, Rieti and Rocca Sinibalda.
Traffic
Longone located 22 km from the state road strada 4 Via Salaria (SS 4), which leads from Rome about Rieti to the Adriatic Coast.
