Poggio Bustone
Poggio Bustone is a municipality with 2117 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.
Geography
Poggio Bustone is 95 km northeast of Rome, 32 km east of Terni, 18 km north of Rieti. It is situated in a scenic location on the northern edge of the valley Conca di Rieti, surrounded by the mountains of Abruzzo Reatinischen. The municipal area extends from the northern shore of Lake Lungo in the valley (371 mslm ) up to 1,678 m high Cima d' arms. Poggio Bustone is a member of Mountain Community Monte Piano Reatino.
The municipality consists of the villages of Borgo Acquarisciana, Borgo Colli, Borgo Borgo San Pietro and Provaroni.
The municipality is located in the seismic zone 1 ( high risk ).
The neighboring municipalities are Cantalice, Leonessa, Rieti and Rivodutri.
