Micigliano

Micigliano is a municipality with 122 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.

Geography

Micigliano is located 106 km northeast of Rome and 31 km to the east of Rieti. It is located in the mountains of Abruzzo Reatinischen. The municipality achieved in Monte Terminillo, 2,217 m slm the highest elevation. Micigliano is a member of the Comunità Montana del Velino.

The municipality is located in the seismic zone 1 ( high risk ).

At the township is part of the winter sports center Terminillo and the hamlet of San Quirico.

The neighboring municipalities are Antrodoco, Borbona, Borgo Velino, Cantalice, Castel Sant'Angelo, Cittaducale, Leonessa, Rieti and Posta.

Traffic

The district of San Quirico is situated on the state road strada 4 Via Salaria (SS 4), which leads from Rome about Rieti to the Adriatic Coast.
