• SEPTEMBER 8: Stefan Uroš IV Dušan, the self-proclaimed King of Serbs, crowned in Skopje. He founded so that the Greater Serbian Empire ( ruled until 1355 ).

• The Arab explorer Ibn Battuta traveled to Ethiopia, Mogadishu, Mombasa, Zanzibar and Kilwa Kisiwani. His trip report is the first and only one for centuries description of the coast of East Africa.
