1988–89 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup

The Ski Jumping World Cup 1988/1989 (official name: FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 1988/89 ) was one of the International Ski Federation FIS between 3 December 1988 and March 26, 1989 discharged at 17 different locations in Europe, North America and Asia competition series in ski jumping. Originally, the implementation of 23 individual events was planned. Three competitions were canceled without replacement, so that 20 individual competitions were included in the ranking. Two planned on the large hill competition had to be canceled, but could be discharged on the same day on the normal hill. The victory won in the championship this season, the Swede Jan Boklöv, on the second and third place followed by the East German Jens Weißflog and the Federal German Dieter Thoma. The Finnish Matti Nykänen defending champion finished ninth place. The Nations Cup won Norway before winning last year Team Finland and Austria.

This season there are no more prank results. Thus influenced by all the points that collects a Springer during the season, in the World Cup standings.
