1997 Copa América

The Copa America 1997 was the 38th playout of the South American continental championship in football and was held from June 11 to June 29 for the second time after 1963 in Bolivia instead. As with the previous two tournaments in 1993 and 1995 again took part in two non- South American visiting teams. These were Costa Rica and Mexico.
