2011 World Seniors Championship

The World Seniors Championship 2011 was a snooker tournament, which was held in Peterborough on 5 and 6 November 2011.

Regulate

The invitational tournament was held Tour of the snooker season 2011/12 as part of the Main. The tournament, which was founded in 1991 already discharged and revived in 2010, thus experienced its third edition in 2011.

Condition for participation: the players had to be older than 45 years, bringing the minimum age was raised by five years compared to the previous year.

12 players participated at the invitation of WPBSA, including mostly former world champion or other popular and successful in the past players. The other four starting positions were played in a qualifying tournament.

The draw was made under the second matchday of the Premier League Snooker 2011 by Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood and commentator Andy Goldstein.

The four qualifying places were contested among 28 participants. The games that were played in best-of- 3 mode, were held in Gloucester on October 10.
