Players Tour Championship 2011/2012
The Players Tour Championship 2011/12 was a series of snooker tournaments, which was held in snooker season 2011/12 for the second time. Compared to the other world ranking tournaments of the snooker main tour there were fewer points for the Snooker world rankings to pick. However, qualified the eight most successful participants who had not already qualified on the snooker world ranking for the following season, directly for the 2012/13 snooker season.
It was a Pro- Am tournament series, played along with the Main Tour professionals and amateurs.
In the previous year was still a distinction between EPTC and PTC tournaments, depending on whether they were among the six European or UK six tournaments. The term was accounted for, but the distinction was maintained in order to promote the tournaments on the continent. Eligible for the PTC finals was still only those who had participated in at least three tournaments of the respective assignment. Unlike in the previous year Gloucester did not count this time to the European sites. Nevertheless, there was once again only five tournaments outside of England, as no other venue could be found and the eleventh tournament had to be moved in the Snooker Academy in Sheffield. Due to problems with the venue also the first rounds of the twelfth events have also been outsourced there.

Prize money and ranking points
The prize money for the PTC tournaments on the European continent was paid in euros. The prize money for the PTC tournaments in the UK and for the finale was paid in sterling.
