2015 Copa América

The Copa America 2015, the 44th playout of the South American continental championship in football and is the seventh time after 1920, 1926, 1941, 1945, 1955 and 1991 in Chile instead.

The winner is allowed to start at the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 in Russia.

Choice of venue

The South American football federation CONMEBOL decided at a meeting on April 28, 2011 for Brazil as the venue. Brazil was provided because of a new rotary control as a venue for 2015. Due to the discharge of the Confederations Cup in 2013, the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics Brazil did not want to unsubscribe the tournament. Nicolás Leoz, President of CONMEBOL, brought Mexico, although not members of CONMEBOL, as the venue this week. Brazil and Chile, meanwhile, discussed on an exchange, Chile should unsubscribe in 2015, Brazil in 2019. Too Bolivia was brought by its President Evo Morales as the venue this week. After Brazil was initially confirmed as organizer, gave the presidents of the national football associations of Brazil and Chile announced on March 24, 2012, to exchange their event rights for 2015 and 2019.
