39th Saturn Awards

The 39th Saturn Awards ceremony was held on 26 June 2013. Significant changes were the introduction of the category of Best Independent Film and the first-time embedding of the thriller genre in the Best Horror Movie category with simultaneous removal from the category of Best Action-/Adventurefilm.

Successful production with four awards was Marvel's The Avengers.
