Anières

Anières is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland.

To the municipality on the southern shore of Lake Geneva include the hamlet Bassy and Chevrens.

History

On Lake Geneva there was a Pfahlbaustation. The settlement is mentioned in 1179 as ( Guillelmus ) dasneres. From the 14th century until the French Revolution, the village belonged to the Savoy Chablais bailiwick, interrupted by the Bernese occupation from 1536 to 1564 / 1567. 1816 were combined and Anières Corsier. However, they broke up in 1858 due to differences in spending again.
