Ban Dan District

Amphoe Ban Dan ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้าน ด่าน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Buriram Province. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the khaen Dong, Satuek, Huai Council, Mueang Buriram and Khu Mueang. All Amphoe located in the province of Buriram.

History

Ban Dan was created initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) on 15 July 1996 by four Tambon Mueang Buriram were separated from Amphoe.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

The county Pakham is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 59 villages ( Muban ).

Ban Dan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ด่าน ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of the whole Tambon Ban Dan.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
