Nong Hong District

Amphoe Nong Hong ( Thai: อำเภอ หนอง หงส์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Lam Plai Mat the, Chamni and Nong Ki of Buriram Province and Amphoe Huai Chakkarat and Thalaeng in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima.

History

Nong Hong was on 31 March 1981 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Sa Kaeo, Huai Hin and Thai Samakkhi were separated from Amphoe Lam Plai Mat. On January 1, 1988, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The district of Nong Hong is divided into seven subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 100 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Nong Hong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง หงส์ ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Sa Kaeo,
  • Huai Hin ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ห้วย หิน ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of the whole Tambon Huai Hin.

There are also six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
