Bazoncourt

Bazoncourt is a commune with 499 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Metz- Campagne and Canton Pange.

Geography

The community Bazoncourt Situated on the French Nied, about 15 kilometers southeast of Metz at an altitude 215-337 m above sea level. The municipality covers 13.21 km ².

History

From 1915 to 1918 the village was the Germanized name Basonhofen, up from 1940 to 1944 Base Mayrhofen.
