Candela, Apulia
Candela is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2702 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Foggia in Apulia. The municipality is situated approximately 40 kilometers south of Foggia and directly borders the province of Potenza ( Basilicata ).
History
May be derived from the writings of Hecataeus of Miletus, an ancient city that stood here.
Traffic
Through the community, the Autostrada A16 (E 842 ) from Naples to Apulia and the Strada Statale 655 Bradanica from Foggia to Matera runs. The Station of Candela is on the railway line from Foggia to Potenza.
