Rodi Garganico

Rodi Garganico is a Southeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3741 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Foggia in Apulia. The community is located about 59 kilometers northeast of Foggia on the edge of the Gargano National Park. The place is beach on the Adriatic coast. Rodi Garganico is also part of the Comunità montana del Gargano.

History

The narrow coastal strip, which is the church today, is already since pre-Christian times, secured from 800 have been settled before Christ. To 485 AD Rodi Garganico was destroyed by the Goths and 553 rebuilt. 1461 reached the village under the rule of Aragon

Traffic

Along the Adriatic coast Gargano leads the Strada Statale 89 Garganica from San Severo to Foggia by the community.
