Cerchiara di Calabria is a place in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria area of Italy with 2439 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Cerchiara di Calabria is 86 km north of Cosenza.
The neighboring municipalities are Alessandria del Carretto, Cassano allo Ionio, Castrovillari, Civita, Francavilla Marittima, Plataci, San Lorenzo Bellizzi, Terranova di Pollino (PZ ) and Villa Piana.
Attractions
Outside the town is the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Armi. The church was built in the 15th century. Later at this point was a basilianisches monastery. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the church was renovated. From this time the frescoes in the vault.
