Scigliano
Scigliano is an Italian town in the province of Cosenza in Calabria with 1276 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Scigliano is located about 42 km south of Cosenza in the river Savuto. The neighboring municipalities are Altilia, Carpanzano, Colosimi and Pedivigliano. The districts are Calvisi, Lupia, Serra, Petrisi, Cupani, Diano, Porticelle, Agrifoglio, Celsita and Tasso.
Attractions
In the Church of the Annunziata featured altars are to be seen. Other notable churches are the parish church, the Church of S. Francesco and the pilgrimage church of S. Maria di Monserrato. Near the village there is a single-arch stone bridge, this probably dates from the Roman period.
