The Challhöchi is 848 m above sea level. M. high mountain pass in the Swiss Jura Mountains southeast of Basel on the border between the cantons of Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn.

It is the transition between the upper region of Basel and the space Olten - about the leading road linked the two places Eptingen and Ifenthal Hägendorf respectively, but was only of local importance. Today, this task has taken over the Swiss A2 motorway, which crosses under the Ballon tunnel the pass. The pass is named after the hamlet Chall, a company belonging to the municipality Eptingen farm cluster.

The name is likely to be because it was a high place ( without trees ).
