Christopher Jones (bishop)

Christopher Jones ( born March 3 1936 at the County Roscommon ) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland.

Life

After leaving school, Jones studied Catholic theology in Maynooth. Jones was ordained a priest on June 17, 1962 in the diocese of Elphin. May 24, 1994 Jones was appointed Bishop of Elphin. After the publication of the Murphy report, Jones said in an interview that the media dealt unfair and unjust with the bishops of the Irish Catholic Church.
