Denis Brennan

Denis Brennan ( born June 20, 1945 in Enniscorthy, County Wexford ) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland.

Life

Brennan went to primary school Kiltealy National School and then to the St Peter 's College in Wexford. He studied Roman Catholic theology at St Peter 's College, and was ordained priest on 31 May 1970. He then became a member of the Missionary Society Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament in Enniscorthy, until it gave up in 1992. In March 1997, Brennan was priest of the parish of Taghmon. Brennan was appointed Bishop of Ferns on 1 March 2006.

2010 Brennan gets into the public debate on the abuse scandal in the Irish Catholic Church.
