Daanbantayan, Cebu

Daanbantayan is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Cebu in the Philippines. It has 74 897 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 20 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.

Geography

The municipality is located in the extreme north of the island of Cebu and it is bounded by the Visayan Sea to the northwest, by the Camotes Sea in the east. Cebu City is located approximately 128 km south of the community and can be reached via the coastal road from there. The only land-based neighboring community is Medellin in the south. The topography of the parish is described as about 71% plains and 29% mountainous. The municipality includes many smaller uninhabited and the inhabited island of Malapascua, which is popular with scuba divers.

Attractions

In the first place the Sehenswürgikeiten is the parish church was built in 1852 Sta.
