Denmark national rugby union team

The Danish rugby union team represents Denmark in the sport of Rugby Union. She plays in Division 2B of the European Nations Cup and could yet qualify for any World Cup. Denmark is divided by the World Association International Rugby Board in the third strength class ( third tier ).

Already since 1931 to play rugby in Denmark, but it was not until 1949 when the first international match was contested. This was lost with 0:6 against Sweden. Since 1950 is the national association, the 1971 FIRA, the European umbrella organization, joined. Three years later became the co-founder of Nordisk Rugby Union, which takes care of the operation of gambling in Scandinavia. Since 1988 it is the IRB member and since then takes part in the World Cup qualifications.
