Dobersdorf

Dobersdorf is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein. Jasdorf, Lilienthal, Schaedtbek and Tökendorf, the extensions Charlottenhof, Friedrich Berg, Moorsehden, Mörken, Rehburg, Timm Brook, game house, Wulf castle and Wulfskuhl and the settlement Voßberg and the nobles Good Dobersdorf lie in the municipality.

Geography and transport

Dobersdorf lies about 15 km east of Kiel on Doberman villages lake. Federal highway 202, which runs south of Dobersdorf from Kiel to Luetjenburg, and the federal highway 502, following the north of Dobersdorf also runs the coast from Kiel to Luetjenburg, are both around 5 km away. The railway line of the keel - Schönberger railway from Kiel to Schoenberg runs north from Dobersdorf.

History

Burial mounds from the Neolithic period and the Bronze Age show a prehistoric settlement of the area. On the shores of Lake Doberman villages also medieval settlements and fortifications are detected, suggesting a settlement by Wendish fishermen.

The place name Doberstorpe was acquired by Wendish fishermen and possibly means village of the Doberman or good village.

Noble estate Dobersdorf

The noble Good Dobersdorf was around 1283 feud of the Pogwisch family who served the Earl of Kiel.
