Grebin

Grebin is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein. The landmark of the village is classified as a cultural monument, built in 1851 Grebiner mill.

Geography and transport

Grebin lies in the so-called Holstein Switzerland on Grebiner lake. The Schierensee also belongs to the municipality. The district borders the Görnitz Schluensee. Through the municipal area the Schmarkau flows.

To Grebin include the districts Behl, Breitenstein, Kakelsberg, Görnitz Treuenfeld and the 1974 is my finished Schönweide. The center of Schönweide formed the spent Beautifully Weider Castle, the family seat of Hollen. History

In 1433 Grebin first mentioned in Lübeck tithe register. From 1910 to 1930, Grebin ( litter box ) station on the narrow gauge railway Kirchbarkau - Preetz Luetjenburg. 1935 Grebin was renamed for several years in Greben.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1974, the former neighboring municipality Schönweide was incorporated.
