Lebrade

Lebrade is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography

The county town of Plön is located in a forest and lakes around about 7 km south of Lebrade, the state capital Kiel about 28 km north-west and Luetjenburg about 17 km northeast.

The approximately 146 -acre nature reserve Vogelfreistätte Lebrader pond is primarily for bird conservation.

The area is characterized by numerous lakes, they include the Lebrader pond, the pond Rixdorfer, the Neubrooksteich, the new pond, the Easter Wipes calibration, the hype pond, the pond and the hail Knipp Schluensee.

Structure

Lebrade consists of the villages Lebrade, Kossau and Rixdorf.

History

The church was first mentioned in 1240. In essence, it is today a 1699-1700 including the north wall of the Romanesque earlier building erected on the Danish King Christian V command baroque hall construction. The first version of the decorations in Akanthusornamentik modeled Rendsburgerstrasse Christian church was renewed under the Rixdorfer patron Reichsgraf Wulf Hinrich Baudissin 1758 in rocaille forms. After they had been plastered over in 1830, the Rococo 1986-1988 version was uncovered and restored.

The exterior has been remodeled 1873-1874 by the architect Heinrich Kiel Moldenschardt in neo-Gothic forms. At the same time it came to the cultivation of the striking west tower, which replaced an earlier wooden belfry.

Good Rixdorf

Rixdorf lies in a valley at the Kossau, a small river. The mansion, a late baroque brick building, was originally surrounded by a moat, which is, however, filled up today. Noteworthy is the 99 m long gatehouse of the estate. Between 1745 and 1748 a Rococo garden was created around the mansion, but not much of which is preserved.

The manor was mentioned in 1424 as a possession of the Knight of Riclikesdorp.

The listed Reetdachbauten on the estate are largely preserved in its original state.

The material is used for agriculture.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the Gemeindervertretung the SPD since the local elections 2008 five, and the CDU and the constituency association ABL have two seats each.

Traffic

East of Lebrade runs the federal highway 430 from Plön after Luetjenburg.
