Warnau
Warnau is a municipality in the region Barkauer land in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Geography and transport
Warnau is located on the main road 404 between Kiel and Bad Segeberg. The location is approximately 9 km east of Bordesholm, about 17 kilometers south of Kiel and about 500 meters southeast of the Hochfelder lake. From 1911 to 1961 Warnau was the small train station Kiel Segeberg, whose tracks were removed in 1962.
History
The name derives from Warnau vama ( Slavic ) for ' ( Raven ) Crow ' from. The local history dates back to the 14th century. The documentary founding date of Warnau is the 17th Januar 1481st
Policy
Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community BGW has since the municipal election 2008, five seats and the SPD four.
