Dominique Baratelli

Dominique Baratelli ( born October 26, 1947 in Nice) is a French former football player.

Club career

The 1.77 m wide goalkeeper started his career at Cavigal Nice and then played from 1967 to 1971 with AC Ajaccio. His next stop was OGC Nice, for whom he played from 1971 to 1978, before moving to Paris Saint- Germain FC, ​​where he ended his career in 1985. With Paris Saint- Germain he could win in 1982 and 1983, two French Cup wins. In 1976 he was awarded with the Etoile d'Or.

Baratelli has brought it to a total of 593 appearances in the highest French league and scored two goals in the process. He is to this day (April 2008) the player with the third most missions in the league.

National players

Although he was relatively small for a goalkeeper, he came between June 1972 and April 1982, at least 21 caps for France ( 19 of them in his time at Nice, 2 in Paris). In a further 25 international matches, he served as a substitute goalkeeper, including in all matches at the World Championships in 1978 and 1982.
