Eberhard Rösch

Eberhard Rösch ( born April 9, 1954 in Karl- Marx-Stadt ) is a former German biathlete.

In the years 1978 and 1980, he finished each ranked third overall in the Biathlon World Cup. At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, he won with the GDR - season and took the silver medal over 20 km in third place. In 1978 he won at the Biathlon World Championships on 10 and 20 kilometers, the silver or bronze medal and won with the relay. The season success, he was able to repeat in Ruhpolding and 1981 in Lahti, respectively 1979.

In 2005, it was announced that Eberhard Rösch has worked for 17 years as an IM for State Security of the GDR.

Rösch is today organizer at biathlon events and was until 2012 base manager of Olympic base in Altenberg. Since 2012 he is there Sportwart biathlon and Technical Director. His son Michael is also a successful biathlete.
