FEI World Equestrian Games
The World Equestrian Games (World Equestrian Games ) are discharged by the FEI World Championships of riding and driving sports. Since 1990, they are aligned for the six equestrian sports Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Endurance, Vaulting and driving any one time in one place, until then, the world championships were held in separate events in the individual disciplines. 2002 came as the seventh sport in the World Equestrian Games Reining the (The Western Dressage ) added, 2010, the Dressage competitions for riders with disabilities.

Stockholm 1990
The first World Equestrian Games were held in 1990 in Stockholm.

The second World Equestrian Games were held in 1994 in The Hague instead. The public interest was, however, contrary to the expectations of the organizers of low.

Rome in 1998
The World Equestrian Games 1998 were originally supposed to take place in Dublin, but were eventually moved to Rome. After the disappointing from media interest in her play The Hague four years before the games in Rome were again successful.

The 2006 World Equestrian Games were held from August 20 to September 3 in Aachen.

Kentucky 2010
The World Equestrian Games 2010 took place from September 25 to October 10 in Lexington, Kentucky instead. As another discipline were first dressage competitions for riders with disabilities to the program added.

Normandy 2014
The World Equestrian Games 2014 will take place from 4 to 7 September in the northern French region of Lower Normandy instead.
As the main venue, the city of Caen is provided. The competitions of jumping and dressage riders will be played at the Stade Michel d'Ornano, driving and eventing competitions on and around the local race track. In the course of the endurance riders are from the Haras du Pin and the monastery island of Mont -Saint -Michel lead. In Saint Lô and Deauville are to be discharged with Horse Ball and Polo two demonstration sports.
