Geographical location

Harxheim is a wine village on the southern outskirts of Mainz.

History

In the year 767 Harxheim was first mentioned. Unlike many other communities in Rheinhessen the Reformation doctrine was introduced quite early. At times, was to distinguish it from the same places, the names form Harxheim at the gate or on the walkways ... usual.
