Isola d'Asti
Isola d' Asti is a municipality with 2131 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Asti (AT ), Region Piedmont.
The municipality consists of the villages Chiappa, Mongovone. Piano, Repergo and Villa. The neighboring municipalities are Antignano, Asti, Costigliole d' Asti, Mongardino, Monte Grosso d' Asti, Revigliasco d'Asti and Vigliano d'Asti.
Geography
The municipality covers an area of 13 km ².
Specialty
In Isola d' Asti Barbera vines of the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine with status, as well as for the Barbera del Monferrato are grown.
