Jacob Augustus Geissenhainer

Jacob Augustus goats Hainer ( born August 28, 1839 in New York City; † July 20, 1917 in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1889 and 1895 he represented the State of New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jacob goats Hainer attended private schools and then studied until 1858 at Columbia College in his hometown of New York. In the meantime, he also attended the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin. After studying law at Yale College and New York University and his 1862 was admitted as a lawyer in New York, he began to work in this profession. In the meantime, he moved to New Jersey. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career.

In the congressional elections of 1888 goats Hainer in the third electoral district of New Jersey was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of John Kean on March 4, 1889. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1895 three legislative periods. Since 1893 he was Chairman of the Immigration and Naturalization Committee and the Committee on Naval Affairs.

In 1894 goats Hainer has not been confirmed. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, he practiced as a lawyer again. He died on July 20, 1917 in Mount Pocono and was buried in Philadelphia.
