Kickeshausen
Kickeshausen is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. She is a member of the collective municipality.
Geography
The place is located in the South Eifel, about two kilometers south of Arzfeld, on the edge of the German -Luxembourg Nature Park and is drained by the Enzbach.
To Kickeshausen include the hamlets and residential places Greens soaps, Hahn lake that Leibighof, Neuhof and Pickhof. The lying northeast of the core local Weilerstein noise heard only partly Kickeshausen, sometimes it lies on the boundary of Ölmscheid.
The municipality belongs to the area after one of the smallest municipalities in the Eifel district Bitburg- Prüm. History
The place is probably of Celtic origin, followed by a Celtic stronghold Hicastel suggests at Ölmscheid, and has been inhabited since the 6th century BC. The local council in Kickeshausen consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Economy and infrastructure
Kickeshausen is an agricultural municipality today. Since 1971, when nine farms had been counted yet, the agricultural area of 109 ha to 128 ha ( 2007) has increased, which were managed by three companies.
