Lierfeld

Lierfeld is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. She is a member of the collective municipality.

The village is just east of Lünebach on the road to beautiful corners.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1570 as Jerenfeld, but it is much older. Lierfeld belonged to the condominium Pronsfeld before it became French in 1794. 1815 was the place to Prussia and was initially managed by the Landbürgermeisterei Lünebach and then from the Amtsbürgermeisterei Waxweiler within the circle Prüm. 1910 lived 54 Population in Lierfeld. Among the most important purchase of branches included the use of wood. The forest around Lierfeld was part of Hofswaldes Pronsfelder of the Court; today is Lierfeld member of Hofwaldszweckverbands.

The local council in Lierfeld consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Mayor

2004 Heinz Müsch was elected with 31 votes out of 42 ( 73.8 %) to the mayor. He was confirmed in his office in 2009.

Attractions

In Lierfeld is a 1999 renovated farmhouse, the comes - yard, which dates from the 1730s and is now used as a hotel.
