Langon (Gironde)
Langon is a French town with 7389 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The city is the seat of the prefecture (French Sous- préfecture ) of the arrondissements Langon, this consists of fifteen cantons.
Langon is located on the Garonne, about 50 km south-east of Bordeaux.
Twinning
Langon in 1981 twinned with the German city in Bavaria Penzberg closed.
Trade, transport
As a river port of importance, because there the parts of the A 380 are transported from / to Toulouse with the special cargo vessel Breuil.
