Lautenbach (Haut-Rhin)

Lautenbach is a commune with 1575 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Guebwiller, Guebwiller to Canton and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Région de Guebwiller.

Geography

The municipality is located in Lautenbach leek valley in the Vosges Mountains, about 30 kilometers southwest of Colmar. Northeast of Lautenbach rises the 1272 meters high Petit Ballon (Kahler Wasen ). The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.

At Lautenbach include the districts Schweighouse and Saint- Gangolf.
