Jungholtz

Young Holtz ( German Jung wood) is a commune with 906 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region.

Geography

Young Holtz is on the edge of the southern Vosges Mountains, west of Canton main town of Soultz -Haut-Rhin and at the entrance to Rimbachtal ( Vallon du Rimbach ), including the Rimbachzell and Rimbach- près- Guebwiller. Too Young Holtz includes the hamlet of Sainte -Anne with a chapel and a Rehabilisationszentrum and Thierenbach with a basilica.

History

The first written record comes from the year 1220. Since 1880, the commune is independent.
