Oberhergheim

Oberhergheim is a commune with 1195 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Guebwiller, for Canton Ensisheim and the Local Government Association Centre Haut-Rhin.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the left bank of the Obehergheim Ill, on the right side runs the Canal Vauban, which turns here to the northeast in the direction of Neuf- Brisach. In the west the municipality extends to the Old Thur.

In 1844 finished classicist St. Leger Church ( Église Saint -Léger ) is a listed organ from 1853, which applies to both plastic and musically as one of the best preserved and most representative of their time.
