Soultzmatt
Soultzmatt ( German Sulzmatt ) is a municipality with 2333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in France. It is the seat of the Communauté de communes de la Vallée Noble.
Geography
Soultzmatt lies in the valley of the Ohmbaches in the southern Vosges, on the Alsace wine road between the towns of Colmar and Guebwiller. The municipality is part of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.
History
In the southeast of the community can be found on the banks of the car Ohmbachs Castle. It was built by the family of sturgeon and got to the family of Jacob and Rosina grains Moyserin later. Their only daughter, Ursula († 1604) brought the castle in her marriage to Johann Christian von Breitenlandenberg † 1616). Today it is owned by the Ingold family and serves as a winery.
