List of companies of Japan

The list of the largest companies in Japan contains published by Forbes Magazine in the Forbes Global 2000 list of the largest publicly traded companies in Japan.

The ranking of the annual list of the 2,000 largest publicly traded companies in the world is calculated from a combination of sales, net profits, assets and market value. The rankings of the companies were tallied in the equally weighted categories to a rank. Listed in the table are also the headquarters and the branch. The figures are in billions of U.S. dollars and are for the financial year 2008 - in Japan for most companies from 1 April to 31 March, the market value on the market price of 27 February 2009.
