List of members of the International Olympic Committee

The members represent the International Olympic Committee (IOC ) in their country, they are, however, no representatives of their countries in the IOC. They are elected on the proposal of the Executive Committee for a period of eight years, and they may be re- elected every eight years.

The membership lasts for a maximum until the end of the calendar year in which the member has reached 70 years of age. For the members that before the 110th IOC Session (11th December 1999) were selected, except that they be members of the IOC until the completion of the 80th year of life applies. For members who were elected before 1966, there was no age limit.

As of December 2013 the IOC consists of 134 people, including 104 regular voting members ( members ), 29 honorary members (English honorary members ) and one honorary member ( engl. honor member).

51 IOC members were participants in the Olympic Games, 31 of them won this medal.
