Lomnička (Brno-Country District)

Lomnička ( German Lomnitschka, 1939-45 Klein Lomnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located two kilometers north of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Lomnička is located at the junction of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands to Bosko brázda. The village lies in a valley at the confluence of the creek Lomnička in the Besének. To the north extends the natural park Svratecká hornatina. To the northeast, the Rejholec ( 449 m) and the Kopanina rise (462 m ) in the east of Stanovisko ( 484 m ) south of the Čimperek (345 m), in the southwest of Mala skala ( 387 m), Květnice ( 469 m) and Dřínová ( 379 m ) west of the Dranč (407 m) and in the northwest the Jahodná (532 m) and Lysa ( 455 m).

Neighboring towns are Šerkovice in the north, Jamné, Hájek and Hajánky in the northeast, Samotín and Stanovisko in the East, Iron in the southeast, Tišnov in the south, Předklášteří, Mezihoří, Střemchoví and Dolni Loučky the southwest, Štěpánovice in the west and Nové Štěpánovice vrby and Řepka in northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village Lomnice took place on June 12, 1235 in the deed of the queen widow Constanze, which was founded by their monastery Porta Coeli. Previously, Constance had her son Margrave Přemysl compensated with 100 pounds of silver for the original in his possession village. With the on August 27, 1235 in Perugia by Pope Gregory IX. issued confirmation document of the monastery Lomnice was confirmed as the monastic estate. Since that time the place has always belonged to the monastery, which maintained a Vorwerkshof here. Over time the village was called Lominiz, Lomniczka and Lomnitschka. 1782 the monastery was in the course of Josephine reforms abolished by Emperor Joseph II and provided the goods under the administration of the Bohemian crown. This sold the reign Porta Coeli 1799 William Mundy. In 1793 the village consisted of 26 houses and 255 inhabitants had. 1821 sold by John Mundy the rule of Frederick Schell of Wittinghoff. 1839 lived 241 people in Lomnitschka.

After the abolition of patrimonial Lomnitschka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno and judicial district Tischnowitz. 1861 acquired the St. Marienthal the goods by the widow Schell. In 1869 the village had 456 inhabitants. Since 1896, the village belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. Since 1924, the municipality bears the name Lomnička. 1930 was the village of 69 houses and 371 inhabitants had. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov Lomnička came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Brno- venkov. Between 1980 and 1990 the village was incorporated to Tišnov. Since 2000, the municipality performs a coat of arms and banners. In 2007 Lomnička consisted of 140 houses and had 430 inhabitants. In Lomnička the abstract painter Petr Kvíčala lives, his studio is located in Brno.

  • Chapel of St. Frederick of Utrecht, built in 1852 durchauf costs Friedrich Schell of Schellenberg instead of a late Baroque previous building from the year 1752. The old chapel was built at a fountain.
