Massa d'Albe
Massa d' Albe is a municipality with 1471 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of L' Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is located 101 km northeast of Rome and 50 km south of L' Aquila.
Geography
Massa d' Albe is above the Fucino basin at the foot of Monte Velino ( 2487 m). It consists of the districts of Massa, Corona, Forme and Albe. The community is a member of the Comunità montana Marsican 1
The nearby towns are Avezzano, Magliano de ' Marsi, Ovindoli, Rocca di Mezzo and Scurcola Marsicana.

The nearest railway station on the railway line Rome - Sulmona is 6.5 km from Cappelle - Magliano.
History
In ancient times, was the city of Alba Fucens, which was destroyed in the 9 / 10th century by the Saracens in the municipality. Then the surviving population settled in the present-day town centers.
1915, the community was hit hard by an earthquake affected. In World War II they had in 1944 suffered from bombing.
